The short version
- No account. The maker works without any sign-up.
- All editing happens in your browser; charts autosave in its IndexedDB storage.
- Your chart data is not uploaded, logged, or shared by this site.
- No analytics, advertising cookies, or fingerprinting are used.
- The contact page creates a draft email; it is sent only if you choose to send it from your email app.
- The open-source fonts and libraries used (React, ELK layout, and others) are listed on our software credits page.
What we store, and where
The pedigree maker is a client-side application. No server receives your project data. The table below lists the data the site stores or sends.

Cookies and analytics
We do not use analytics, advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or fingerprinting. Essential browser storage is used only to keep your chart and preferences on your device.
Contact form
The contact form does not submit data to this site. It creates a draft addressed to us in your email app. Your email provider handles any message only if you decide to send it; review your provider’s privacy policy for its handling of that message.
Third-party services
The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers process page requests in the normal way (standard access logs). The fonts, icons, and libraries we use are open-source; see the credits in the footer for the list.
Children and sensitive data
The tool may be used to record family health history, which can be sensitive. Because charts remain on the device, but anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to open them. Use a private device or browser profile for sensitive information, and clear site data when appropriate. Schools and clinics should follow their own data-protection rules when deciding what to record.
