A pedigree chart maker that respects your time and your data
Drawing a family health history is usually a tiny task that tools make enormous: accounts, uploads, symbol kits to configure, and exports that require a designer to clean up. PedigreeChartMaker exists to make the small task small again.
Everything runs in your browser with the standard pedigree notation already in place. Your chart autosaves locally, exports to SVG, PNG, or PDF for the places people actually need it (see our step-by-step guide), and moves between devices as a plain JSON file.
It is built for genetics classrooms (try the inheritance templates), clinics and genetic counselors who want a chart in minutes with Quick Build, and family historians keeping a permanent record of relatives and conditions.

Local-first privacy
Charts are edited and stored on your device. There is no pedigree database, no upload, and no tracking of your family data.
Plain, standard notation
Charts follow conventional pedigree notation so they are readable by genetics teachers, clinicians, and students without a manual.
Accessible by default
The editor works with a keyboard, exposes a chart outline to screen readers, and every tool has a text alternative.
Engineered for privacy: client-side, local-first architecture
Most web applications upload user input to centralized cloud databases for processing and storage. Projects autosave directly into your browser's persistent local storage. No charts, names, or health conditions are ever transmitted across a network.
Zero Tracking & Cookies
We use no third-party tracking scripts, advertising trackers, or tracking pixels. The application operates as a standalone Progressive Web App (PWA).
Open Standard JSON
Charts are backed by a transparent JSON schema. Export, backup, and restore your charts freely without proprietary software vendor lock-in.
